CDN is completing one of the largest Outdoor Gigabit Ethernet Networks for Palm Island, Dubai

Computer Data Networks (CDN), a regional professional services provider in IT and communications is in final stages of completing a large network installation for Palm Island, Dubai.

Working with Siemens SBT SES AE, CDN has designed and implemented a complex Network Solution for Access Control, CCTV and other security requirements of the Palm Island.

CDN's solution includes Garrettcom's Outdoor Gigabit Ethernet Switches, Foundry Networks Core Network for main Command Control Center and for Distaster Recovery Site, as well as Oracle-based Data Centers.

This Project represents one of the largest outdoor Gigabit Ethernet Installations. By using Outdoor Gigabit Solution, CDN has been able to eliminate the cost of additional cabling, coutdoor cabinets, A/C units and other costs associated with using standard office equipment in an outdoor environment.

This achievement is even more remarkable considering weather conditions in United Arab Emirates in general, and micro climate conditions onthe Palm Island, which is surrounded by corrozive sea air.

Installed System currently provides 5 Gbps of throughput dedicated to security requirements and covers the entire Palm Island.
